It has been my honor to serve as the VtSHP president for the last 2 years; I am incredibly grateful I was given this opportunity. I especially want to thank board members Michele Baker, Emily Piehl, and Krisi Scaccia for all of their hard work and support during my tenure, and Anne Policastri from ASHP for her wealth of knowledge and willingness to help any time we asked.

Our new Board of Directors was installed on 8/22/2026 and they are already at work planning events for the coming year, as well as developing initiatives to increase membership and member engagement. I look forward to seeing the progress we can make as an organization!

With the ever-changing legislative landscape, we will be challenged, as pharmacists, to be good stewards of our health-system’s resources while providing the exceptional care our patients deserve. I know that the amazing pharmacists across Vermont are up to the challenge! VtSHP will be there along the way with legislative advocacy, continuing education, and networking opportunities throughout the Green Mountain State.
