SCHOLARSHIP NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the Karen McBride Pharmacy Student Scholarship are due by March 31st, 2025.

The Karen McBride Leadership Award was established to carry on the legacy of a true Vermont leader and expert pharmacy clinician. This scholarship is awarded to one pharmacy student each year.

PRESIDENT MESSAGE 

Sara Schleifer, PharmD, BCPS: 2023-2024 VTSHP President

It is my honor to serve as your president this year! I want to give a big shout out to Krisi Scaccia for her hard work last year. Under her leadership we focused the bulk of our work on much needed updating of our bylaws. This year we hope to build a more connected community by strengthening our membership committee and offering more events to our members. 

Thank you to those of you who joined us at our fall CE meeting and Beers with Peers event. It is a pleasure to be connecting face to face again! A special thanks to the authors and editors who make this newsletter possible. If you are interested in becoming more involved with VSTHP, please contact me (sara.schleifer@uvmhealth.org) or our membership chair Krisi Scaccia (Krisi.scaccia@ynhh.org).

VTSHP 

Green up day 2022

VTSHP participated in Green Up Day on May 7, 2022 throughout the state with groups cleaning up trash in Rutland, Middlebury, and Burlington areas. 


PHILANTHROPY

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Vermont supports, educates and advocates so that all communities, families, and individuals affected by mental illness or mental health challenges can build better lives.

VTSHP chose to support NAMI in the spring of 2022. VTSHP matched our member donations and together we contributed $500 to NAMI Vermont.
